Program 7 – Basic Cooking & Safety Around The Kitchen

This group-based, ready-to-deliver program helps participants develop the practical skills they need to safely prepare meals, use kitchen appliances, and understand basic food safety.

Through step-by-step guidance, hands-on activities, and visual supports, participants build confidence in the kitchen—whether they’re making breakfast, reading food labels, or cleaning up after cooking.

Program 7 supports healthy routines, daily independence, and greater self-reliance in the home.

  • Follow kitchen safety rules and emergency procedures

  • Safely use common appliances (microwaves, ovens, stovetops, air fryers, blenders)
